Meet Your Doula

  • My name is Jasmine Knell CD(DONA)
    I am The All Bellies Doula.

    Becoming a Doula and a Childbirth Educator has always been my north star. I come from a line of Childbirth Educators and Doulas. Having grown up surrounded by pregnant women, birth stories, and women supporting women, this shaped me into the woman I am today: Mother, Wife, Empath, and Global Thinker. I am trained by the Academy of Certified Birth Educators and a certified DONA International Doula

    My goal in life is to be the hand for those who need one to hold, to educate on the joys, challenges, and wonders of birth and to positively impact birthing experiences for all birthing people.

    As a wife to an active duty military member, I understand the unique challenges military life creates for families. While in the Kansas City area it is my biggest wish to make an impact on our military members.

FAQ

What is a Doula? A Doula provides continuous support in a non-medical capacity. This includes massage, positioning, education, the use of equipment, and much more.

Is a Doula helpful if a partner is present? Yes! I work hard to give support while allowing the space for couples to embrace their experience in the labor room together. My experience and knowledge can help calm fears or anxiety and lead to a more comforting atmosphere for everyone in the room. Leaving room for you to focus on feeling loved and showing loving support.

What if an epidural is wanted? I support all types of birth! Having an epidural does not mean having an unsupported birth. The effects of an epidural causes you to remain in bed for the duration of your labor. Positioning greatly matters with an epidural. As your Doula I will continue to give emotional support while helping baby into an optimal position for birth.

How much does a Doula cost? It is my hope to be affordable and reasonable for all families that wish to have a Doula. I do not post my rates because I am open to discussing payment options and fees.

What makes me unique as a Doula? My first career as a Pilates Instructor fits perfectly into my Doula role. Understanding breathing techniques, alignment, positioning, anatomy and biomechanics of the body, all help me recognize how to best support your birth. Along with my knowledge, I am also a deeply empathetic person. I truly care about your emotions and dedicate myself to providing excellent support

What is the best part of being a Doula? Watching the strength of women and the transformation of families is my favorite part of this work. It is the most beautiful thing to witness and I am always honored when allowed into that space.

“Doula, to provide guidance and support to a pregnant woman during labor. My Doula, Jasmine, ended up being so much more. When I first met her, I literally cried in Starbucks because I just had anxiety and fear about labor and birth in general. Instantly she had this amazing calming presence. I instantly felt at ease. She is the perfect mix of science and crunchy. She came to our house for birth classes and let us ask every question I could possibly think of without feeling silly or overwhelmed. Game day came and she was the calm to the storm. Jasmine came in bright and early to work and we worked!
